NIFT M.Des (Master of Design) is a two-year postgraduate course offered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in India. The admission to NIFT M.Des program is based on the NIFT Entrance Examination, which consists of two parts: the General Ability Test (GAT) and the Creative Ability Test (CAT).
The GAT (General Ability Test) of the NIFT M.Des Entrance Examination assesses the candidates’ knowledge in various areas such as Mathematics, English, Reasoning, General Knowledge (GK), and Current Affairs. This section tests the candidates’ analytical, logical, and language skills.
The CAT (Creative Ability Test) of the NIFT M.Des Entrance Examination is designed to evaluate the candidates’ creative and design skills. It includes tests related to design and drawing, where candidates are required to demonstrate their creativity, imagination, and problem-solving abilities through their designs and sketches.
Both GAT and CAT are important components of the NIFT M.Des Entrance Examination and carry significant weightage in the overall evaluation of candidates for admission to the NIFT M.Des program. It is essential for candidates to thoroughly prepare for both GAT and CAT to increase their chances of success in the NIFT M.Des Entrance Examination.
